100 word challenge by Maddy.

Grandparents are important because they love me very much. They are my Daddy’s mum and dad.  It is sad that I can’t see my other grandparents, Granny and Grandad McNicol because they aren’t here anymore.

I like playing with Granny and Grandpa Crosby.  Their names are Judith and Bob.  His full name is Robert.  Granny knitted me a snowman once. Sometimes on Sunday granny cooks a roast dinner. I like roast beef the best and the Yorkshire puddings.  We call them paddling pools because we pour gravy into them.

We see Granny and Grandpa at Christmas and we buy presents for each other.

  1. Hello Maddy,

I can tell your paternal grandparents (your father’s parents) are very special to you. It is sad you aren’t able to see your maternal grandparents. Grandparents can have a special place in our lives.

Have you taken the chance to visit entries from students in other schools? The differences between students can be very interesting.

I hope you keep entering the 100WC. 🙂

Maddy, what lovely thoughts about your grandparents. You should be very proud of yourself, having some of your very own writing up here for so many people to see is very special. Keep enjoying your Literacy and writing from the heart, it’s where your best ideas will come from.
